as a fan of the mario games this caught my attention. I love the style and everything. I will see if I cant recall some of the tutorials I used when my game was in production, was working on a side scrolling MMO then my programmer up and quit. With the amount you currently have done I am sure you would find a decent programmer easily on the yoyo forums. I am curious though Jess resembles a Dog of some sort is she supposed to be like a Chihuahua or something JW. You deserve a watch for this.
I didnt mean any offense by my statement so I apologize if it seemed that way. I thought she was some sort of wolf/dog creature. But overall I must say I love your work and I played your demo and the maps look amazing. I hope you are able to complete this I give you a thumbs up.
P.S. Mario is one of my fave games of all time. I grew up on that game.
Maybe you get this question a lot too- can I make my own Mario-universe game? I was greatly inspired by you - and I do love spriting - so I made my own character, Muffin Man. (Yes, the name is a bit stupid, but I want it all to be dessert themed). I'm not sure if you want credit or not for something like this... because I am not directly copying your game, I am merely using the same idea you did - making a new character and story in the Mario universe. I thought I should ask none-the-less. Also, I will hopefully be making it into a game... is gamemaker good? Would you recommend it?
XD I don't know why people ask for my permission? Mario isn't my character. I can't stop you from making a fangame or fanfic with your own character in the Mario Universe. I don't mind either because I wasn't the first person to do it ^^ If you want to say that I inspired you to do that is fine, but you don't have to.
Yeah gamemaker is good. There are a lot of people that are willing to help with the coding there are also lots of tutorials and forums :3
Thank you! If you are interested, I will be uploading a sketch and then a sprite of the Muffin Man himself. By the way, I've tried gamemaker before... but I was about 9 at the time. I made an awful game called 'Mousey' where you control a simplistic blue mouse- each level involved getting the cheese..... yeah... ._.
