Rogue Rodent
Jade A. Rogers (AKA Jara)

Orphaned at a young age, Jade was sent to be a lab rat for the government. She was raised to be a soldier in a secret program, along with many others. Just as the program was reaching its end it was found out and shut down. All the soldiers of the Rodent Brigade, as they called it, were to be killed, but not openly. They were ordered to go on a suicide mission to infiltrate a heavily fortified enemy complex that appeared over night. The battle was hopeless, but the soldiers did not back down. They continued to press forward, while soldier after soldier was killed. With only a handful of soldiers left, they made it to the enterance of the complex, Jade being one of them. However enemy forces surprised them with a plasma grenade that severely injured Jade and killed two others. Her remaining companions were forced into a corner, while she lay there bleeding to death. And in a execution type manner, the remaining soldiers were killed. After everthing was finished a government official came out of the complex. Jade, barely conscious, saw his face and recognized him. He was the one that gave them the orders to attack this complex. It was a conspiracy. Just as quickly as the complex appeared it was abandoned. Soon after scavengers came, picking valuables from the fallen. A child found Jade barely alive, but breathing. He rushed back to his village doctor, who went to her aid. They took her back to their village and tended to her wounds. The government sent men to collect to bodies for disposable. They accounted for all the soldier expect for Jade. The government, afraid that there corrupt actions would get to the public, put a warrant out for her arrest with wanted posters stating that she was are deserter.

Jade stayed in the small village as she regain her strength. It was urgent for her to get back to her nation and tell the public what happened. But it was not long before the wanted posters made it to the village. Several men deseperate for the reward money viciouly attacked Jade. But her advance training helped her to easily drive them back. Seeing that her presents in the village was bring unwanted tension she needed to leave. As she sets off on her journey she meets many nice people, who help spread the word of the corrupt government. And slowly the nation turns on itself.

World setting:
The world is that of a rats point of view. There are no humans though. Rodents rule the earth, as well as some small lizards. Insects are used for food, pets, transportation, agriculture, etc. The weapons technology they have are plasma based and very efficient. They do not have computers or any modern luxury that we have. It is the Industrial Era. Cities are crowded and rodents are prospering. During this time war has broken out in the East. At least that is what the government is saying. With the media being controlled by the government the facts are heavily twisted and altered to get the support of the nation. The government is sending troops to eliminate a relatively peaceful country to obtain valuable resources. But with heavy terrain it is difficult for the nations armies to advance the land quickly and the small country is fighting back. Scientists of the time are used to research and create Super Soldiers. The Rodent Brigade was one of these projects. It was found out by civilians and needed to be disposed of. Which is where Jade comes in.
